Reiki is a complementary healing technique based on the flow of energy received via the crown chakra of a practitioner and transmitted through the hands to the receiver.           `

Reiki raises the life force energy in areas of the body where there may be blockages; physical, spiritual, emotional & mental blocks. Raising the energy in these areas allows stagnant energies (blocks) to disperse so the chi energy can flow properly and the corresponding cells, organs and glands can be nourished.

The practitioner usually goes through an attunment process.  This opens a channel for the universal energy to flow through them to another person.  There are 5 types of Reiki training programmes and 3 attunement levels that include Level 1, 2 and Master.

 

Reiki 1 Certificate
This is primarily for self-treatment and is a one-day

workshop that summarises Reiki.

Reiki 2 Certificate
This is primarily for treatment on friends, family and clients where

existing therapies and treatments are already practised.

This is a one day workshop.

Reiki Master Certificate
Can be completed by anyone who has completed levels 1 and 2, and

are well practised in Reiki. This is a two day workshop.

Reiki Master Teacher

For those who wish to teach and attune others in Reiki. This is a 4-day workshop with assessments and observations and allows you to teach all the other levels of Reiki. Runs for two weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for two months.

Professional Reiki Practitioner Level 3 Diploma

This training is targeted to those who work in health care and well-being sectors.  It is a combination of Reiki 1 and 2 and meets the National Occupational Standard.  

Course Duration

This course runs over 6 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for 6 months from 10:00 am to 18:00 GMT; 12 sessions over 6 months for taught classes.  This is a modular program that contains 30 modules and assessments.  You must also complete 100 hours of self-treatment and keep a diary to that effect.   At least 75 treatments must be carried out on clients and you must submit a summary of these treatments.  There will be a final test and supervised treatments to obtain this certification. Taught classes will be a combination of virtual and physical attendance, click on icon for course structure.
